We are thrilled with the success of our job readiness series with Project H.O.M.E. The past three Fridays, Nick Stathes and Gavin Keirans have led trainings on interviewing, building resumes, filling out applications and the dos/don’ts to being successful in the work place.

There are 20 people who have signed up for the sessions and each has shown a commitment to attend every week. These folks have some great stories and are working hard to get back into the work force.

This past week, Jim Byrne joined the sessions to lead breakout Mock Interviews and focus on shaping people’s stories into a concise message. As we went through interview scenarios, the participation was outstanding.

This upcoming Friday is our final session, focusing on workplace etiquette and we look forward to finishing on a strong note.

Here is a quick blurb about Project H.O.M.E.:

“The mission of the Project H.O.M.E. community is to empower adults, children, and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. “
